Is It Worth The Hype??: Innisfree It’s A Real Squeeze Mask – Shea Butter | REVIEW

Hello My darlings,

Today’s post is about the Innisfree shea sheet mask from the range – It’s a real squeeze mask. Ever since the sheet masks are being introduced in the Indian market, all the skincare junkies are going ga-ga about them, but I was still wondering are they worth all the hype?  When I heard that they give that salon facial effect,  that too in just Rs 100 ,  I finally, I mean finally, decided to buy one. Yes.. cos it’s better late than never 🙂 .

Shea butter is widely used in moisturizers. It restores skin elasticity and is a super food for dry skin beauties. Since my skin behaves so dry in Bangalore, I decided to go for this one and bought in on Nykaa, You might have seen my Nykaa haul pic on my Facebook page and Instagram.  Okay !! Lets get to product review.

Product description :

It’s real squeeze mask with shea butter! The soft shea butter deeply hydrates dry skin from within.  It provides moisture to dry and parched skin.

My experience Innisfree shea sheet mask :

The sheet mask comes in a nice thick paper kind of packet, It has a picture of Shea butter, It’s a matte finish packet which is very simple and cute.  At the back, necessary information is mentioned in Korean but also has a English language sticker.

You just have to tear open the packet, and  you see a gorgeous mask dripping with Shea butter serum,  It has holes for eyes, nose and mouth. The mask is thin and is made of cotton and it sits properly on the face, even for people with big face, the mask is adequate enough.  It doesn’t smell like anything but it’s ingredients list says it has fragrance in it. For me, face products with lot of fragrance leads to breakouts.  So, Thank god, it doesn’t have a strong scent.

I let the mask sit on my face for about 20 minutes and let the magic happen. It is my first sheet mask and I was excited about it.  After 20 mins, I took it off, though it was not dry at all.  I just dipped it again in the packet to dig all the left over serum and gave a slight pat-pat to my face, hands and lastly to my legs.

It definitely made my skin very soft and smooth,  My skin was hydrated enough and it’s effects lasted long time. But it didn’t do anything more than that, I wanted it to give some radiance to the skin but it didn’t (So, was I expecting more from shea butter 😛 ) No, I was actually expecting more from “Innisfree sheet mask tag”. Later, I came to know every mask has a special function and this one is just for hydration.

Boooo !!! hehe !! Just some fun time 🙂

Pros:

  • Good and convenient packaging.
  • Mask is made of cotton.
  • Very moisturizing.
  • Does what it claims.
  • Easy to use, No mess.
  • Sits properly on face and can be stretched.

Cons:

  • One time use
  • For some people it can be expensive, as it is a use and throw kind of a product.
  • Available only online.
  • This particular sheet mask provides only hydration, which even a dollop of good moisturizer can do.

My Rating:  4/5

Final Thoughts:

Overall, Innisfree it’s a Real Squeeze mask-Shea butter is a good mask if you have very dry skin, It is hydrating and makes your skin soft and smooth.  It is a good buy only for dry and extremely dry skin beauties. And a good product for our skin during winters or if you stay in cold countries. You could also carry it with you if you are on a vacation to snow capped mountains.  You can skip this product if your skin is oily or combination type and try other variants that are available from innisfree masks.
