Beautiful skin is not just achieved by topically applying a cosmetic or herbal product. It is a cumulative result of what we eat, our lifestyle and other cosmetics that we use in our regular skin care routine. Right nutrition can never be ignored when we are aiming at our goal of beautiful glowing. There are foods that benefit in the overall appearance of our skin and also help us in many ways like weight loss and detox. I am a vegetarian and here, I am listing 5 main vegan/vegetarian foods that we should include in our daily diet. Read below..
- Tomatoes :Tomatoes contain lycopene and carotenoids, This improves the antioxidants status and fight against free radicals, sun damage and hence signs of aging. They are great in reducing acne marks, dark spots and dullness. Tomatoes give a glowing skin and fights acne because of its high levels of Vitamin C, vitamin B9, iron folic acid. - Nuts : Loaded with healthy fats, nuts like walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds, as well as seeds like chia and flax seed help keep us oiled well. and reduces dryness of skin as they’re great sources of vitamin E and omega 3 fatty acids. which protects from skin damage. vitamin E also help in keeping the skin soft and supple. Nuts and seeds are great source minerals including zinc, which helps heal blemishes, redness and irritation
- Green tea : Green tea is extremely beneficial for our skin and most of are hardcore believer of it by now. 🙂 It has the ability to lower dyhrotestosterone which is the acne producing hormone and we acne free. It is also loaded with antioxidants and thus help us look younger and beautiful . From my experience you notice the difference in your skin by just one week of including green tea in your daily diet. It also detoxes body from within. Hence, we achieve the beautiful glow.
- Berries : Berries such as blueberries, cranberries, cherries and strawberries(read post here) are like mini power houses of nutrition. they fight blemishes and reduces acne. Berries are rich source of vitamin C which is an antioxidant that protects skin from free radicals. It hydrates the skin and increases collagen and elastin levels.
Pumpkin : Pumpkin is rich in fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell production and gives us a glowing and smooth the skin. This vegetable contains antioxidant, Vitamin A and Vitamin C are beneficial to skin in many ways like softening and boost collagen production and reduces the signs of aging.These are my super foods to keep skin healthy , nourished and beautiful.
